T20 World Cup England Will Face Pakistan in the Final

pakistan vs england 2022

Everyone was hoping to see Indian cricket team into the final of the T20 world cup 2022, but England breaks everyone’s dream to have them in the finals. On the second semi final played between India and England on Thursday at Adelaide Oval, England was on the top throughout the game.

After winning the toss, England invited Indian squad to bat first. When India came to bat, it lost the wicket of KL Rahul in the first 2 overs. After that, Virat Kohli and Indian skipper Rohit Sharma tried hard to save the team. Both played some great shots but to hit a bigger one, Rohit Sharma got out.

Everyone was hoping to see some great shots from SKY (Suryakumar Yadav) but he got out while trying to hit big. After his dismissal, Kohli and Pandaya managed to take the Indian team towards a fighting total. But right after completing his 4th half-century in this world cup, Virat Kohli was dismissed by England’s bowler.

Before getting out, Virat Kohli achieved a huge milestone as he becomes the first batter in the world to complete 4000 runs in the T20s. Now, he is a leading run scorer. Apart from Kohli, Hardik Pandaya played some amazing cricketing shots.

He scored 63 runs in just 33 balls. He hit some long sixes and beautiful fours. Because of his massive and fire-cracking inning, India reached 168 in 20 overs. After this, the whole game was on the Indian bowlers.

But when Jos Bulter and Alex Hales entered the ground, they were very clear that they are here just to take their team into the finals. Alex and Butler scored 86 (47 balls) and 80 (49 balls) respectively. Due to their massive performances, they chased down the target of 169 runs in just 16 overs without losing a single wicket. Now, England will take on the Pakistan in the final on Sunday at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

After this humiliating loss of 10 wickets, the captain of Indian cricket team – Rohit Sharma said that our team failed to handle pressure and were not "good enough with the ball. In the post-match presentation ceremony, he said that when it comes to knockout stages, it's all about handling the pressure. You can't teach anyone to handle pressure. When these guys play the playoffs in the IPL and all that, those are high-pressure games, and they're able to handle it.

He also added that India started the second innings with the ball was not ideal. I thought we still batted pretty well at the back end to get to that score, but we were not good enough with the ball. It was definitely not a wicket where a team can come and chase it down in 16 overs. When Bhuvi bowled the first over, it swung today, but not from the right areas. We wanted to keep it tight, not give room, because square of the wicket was an area we were aware of - that's where the runs came today.

It was not just heartbreaking for the Indian players but for the cricket fans as well that the dream of bringing the cup back home is not alive anymore. But it is cricket that is all about unexpected moments. So, we can only say that our players need our support. And do not forget to say that we still proud of you all.
